In 1944 Dorothy Shuttleworth founded the Richard Ormonde Shuttleworth Remembrance Trust in memory of her only son, who had been killed in a Fairey Battle on a night-flying exercise in 1940.

Richard Shuttleworth's remarkable collection of historic aircraft was subsequently added to over the years, resulting in what is now one of the finest collections of airworthy vintage aircraft in the world. The Shuttleworth Collection has also become world-famous for its numerous annual airshows and pageants at its picturesque home at Old Warden in Bedfordshire.

This superb four-DVD box set, packaged specially for Aeroplane (RRP £64 when sold separately), gathers together film of Shuttleworth displays by aircraft from the Collection and other organisations and includes stunning previously unreleased footage from the cockpit, all for only £29.99.

DVD 1 Highlights of one of Shuttleworth's most memorable airshows ever held at Old Warden — the Golden Anniversary Pageant in 1994. Glorious weather rewarded maximum effort by the Shuttleworth engineers and pilots, with almost the whole Collection making a flying appearance at the event.

DVDs 2, 3 and 4 are drawn from extensive footage of the Collection's events over the following three years.

Bonus interactive feature

Includes previously unseen interactive sequences in which you can join the pilot of Shuttleworth's Supermarine Spitfire, Andy Sephton and Hawker Hind pilot John Lewis, in the cockpit with optional commentary by the pilots.
