Cotswold Airshow 2010 DVD / Blu-ray
Kemble Airport in the Cotswolds is the ancestral home of The Red Arrows, was once a key maintenance base for Hawker Hunters and today is home to a big vintage jet operation industry. These 3 themes featured strongly at the event and on this DVD.
In this 70th anniversary year of the Battle of Britain a set piece with pyrotechnics sees a Messerschmitt attacker seen off by Hurricanes. Other WW2 warbirds include a rare Mk1 Spitfire, Seafire and 2 DC3's.
The impressive classic jet line-up included Vampire, Jet Provosts, Venoms, Hunter and Canberra PR9 fast taxi and other post war historics included the Pembroke.
The RAF contributed a specially marked-up Tucano, rare Tristar and awesome Typhoon. The navy Black Cats provided the rotary element.
A varied feast of aviation entertainment was provided by a local Extra 300, the Renegade Parachute Team, Swift and Twister Teams and a crazy Cub landing on a moving truck! 3 teams vied for the formation excellence accolade; Team Viper, The Yakovlevs and The Red Arrows.
