Fly Navy 100: Yeovilton International Air Day & Culdrose Air Day 2009 DVD
Despite a dire weather forecast, Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton's Air Day 2009 attracted a capacity crowd to see the Royal Navy celebrate 100 years of aircraft operation and an impressive series of displays. Fortunately the worst of the weather held off and the 2 big set pieces, the big formation fly-by and the Commando Assault went on almost to plan. To a cavalcade of regular displays add rare appearances like the Dassault Rafale, key historic types including the Sea Vixen and Seafire and almost every current navy type appearing at some point during the day. At RNAS Culdrose the rain cleared to reveal a crystal clear sky and some of the items we did not see at Yeovilton were able to display in fabulous conditions.
