Humberside Airshow 1992

Humberside Airport was formerly RAF Kirmington in Lincolnshire from which Lancasters operated in WWII. Indeed Lincolnshire is known as "Bomber County" due to the large number of RAF bases sited there and several still exist today, providing some of the stars of the show.

The "Red Arrows" were from Scampton, the Vulcan from Waddington, the BBMF from Coningsby. The show had a rare gathering of vintage jets, and the exceptional weather provided a beautiful backdrop for the displays.

Contents

Buccaneer, Percival Provost, Vulcan, Westland Wessex, Red Arrows, Westland Lynx, Catalina, Team Toyota Extra 300 and Pitts Specials, Meteor NF11, P51 Mustang, Shorts Tucano, Bae Nimrod, BBMF Spitfire XIX, Hurricane and Lancaster, Fiesler Storch, Slingsby Firefly, de Havilland Venom, Folland Gnat, C130 Hercules Tactical Demo, BAe Sea Harrier FRS1, Vampire Jet Car.
