Göteborg (Gothenburg) Airshow 2010 Highlights
Daniel Karlsson, Marketing Manager at the Göteborg Aeroseum, Sweden introduces their 3rd annual Aeroshow. Although the Saturday started off with showers the weather cleared up for the flying displays.
The major highlight of the show was the fly-past by five Saab jets. Stellan Andersson of the Swedish Air Force Historic Flight tells us about their collection and their work to preserve all the historic aircraft of the Swedish Air Force.
In 1957 the Swedish Air Force was the 4th largest in the world and was the first to fly only Jets. The Vampire, Tunnan, Hunter, Lansen and Draken from the Historic flight were all flying at the show. The Historic Flight plan to be flying the Viggen for the 2011 season.
The show finished with a flypast of 5 currently flying Saab jets including the Gripen.
Our video concludes with a 60 second look at all the flying action.

Really, really nice footage. I love all your stuff, but the editing on this was absolutely superb, right down to the climatic shot into the smoke. Nice subject material too; I've always liked Saab jets, and it was great to see them so well maintained an in flight. Cheers to Planes TV and the Gothenburg Museum. One question for them - any chance there'll be an airworthy restoration of a Swedish Canberra Tp.52 any time?
Cheers,
Steve
