Airshow commentator George Bacon introduces the highlights from one of the world’s biggest free seafront air festivals; Eastbourne Airshow 2010.

Making a splash arrival is the Tigers Parachute Display Team. We speak to Lance Corporal Chris Smith about the “buzz” of landing into the English Channel.

Yet another crowd pleaser is the RAF’s latest combat aircraft; the Eurofighter Typhoon. The display pilot Flt Lt Tim Clement talks to us about how the condensation over the wings really enhances its demonstration.

Finally we finish with a 60 second highlights package of all the best flying including the P-51 Mustang, Belgian F-16, the Red Arrows and many more.

I was at RAFC Cranwell in 1997-98 (169 IOT) with the Typhoon display pilot - Tim Clement. I haven't seen him in a long time, but he was a really nice guy. I always knew he would make it to the top of his profession.

I was there on sunny saturday and loved it,i met the planestv guy's at there tent and met most of the display teams,had pic taken and signed poster. the only other airshow iv been to was at duxford a few years back but i enjoyed eastbourne airshow more,i was gutted when they annouced that the lancaster bomber wasn't going to be there that day,we had a good spot on the beach and used up two camcorder tape's, sill i pre-paid for this year's DVD so get to see the lancaster, well done planestv!!
