Heart of Scotland Airshow: Perth 2010
The Heart of Scotland Airshow at Perth is a welcome addition to the event calendar bringing entertaining and rarely seen local participants.
Balloon bursting by a gaggle of dissimilar types from S.E.5a to Bulldog, astonishing crazy flying in a seemingly docile Cessna 152 and amazing aerobatics by local Tornado F3 pilot Rich Pargeter in a Pitts Special.
Important history in this Battle of Britain commemoration year came in the form of a Spitfire and Hurricane, the latter a genuine Battle veteran. Classic Flight made the long journey north with their Anson and Rapide.
Strong support from today’s RAF delivered Tutor, Hawk, Typhoon and Tornado GR4 with an impressive tactical attack role demonstration and Swift Glider Team, Breitling Wingwalkers and Golden Lions parachutists contributed to the thrills.
Good clear weather (for the most part) and a truly rare and varied line-up resulted in a show to remember.
