Unseasonally kind weather again for the Abingdon Air and Country Show that traditionally kicks off the annual UK dispaly season.
Neil Porter and his team of volunteers brought together once again a varied and entertaining line up all in aid of the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance.
Star of the show for enthusiasts was the airshow debut of the newly restored Canberra PR9 and the rest of the crowd thrilled to world class aerobatics, not least by the Trig Team (with interactive on board cammera), bravado and glamour fom the Breitling Wingwalkers (also with on-board camera), nostalgia from several WW2 types including Spitfire, Hurricane and a very rare German Fieseler Storch and some even older aircraft like the de Havilland Rapide mini airliner.
Modern metal came courtesy of the RAF with C-130 Hercules flyby,
Merlin helicopter and Tucano trainer. The locally based Renegades Parachute Team dropped with precision just in front of the crowd.
