The town of Biggin Hill has a link with aviation dating back to 1915 when the Royal Flying Corps established an aerodrome on one of the highest points in London. Since the early 1920s air shows have been held at the site with the only break being 1939-45, no other venue can boast such a long history of air shows in the world.
Today the airfield is a thriving commercial airport offering facilities to local and international customers, however it has never lost sight of its heritage and links with the Royal Air Force.
