Avro Vulcan

Vulcan, XH558, is to spend the summer based at the airfield where she once stood on Quick Reaction Alert during the Cold War.

Once of Vulcan XH558's last displays in the hands of the RAF was here at the Wroughton Great Warbird Display 1992.

Crowd pleasers such as the Red Arrows, Aerostars and the Blades were joined by the Vulcan performing two wonderful displays including a snappy wingover and Jonathon Whaley pulling vapour in his Hunter "Miss Demeanour".

The show also attracted some new and interesting acts including Richard Grace leading the Pitts Pair and a visitor from local RAF Mildenhall - the MC-130P Combat Shadow.
